You are a magnet for people that are obsessed with me! If it is not the amazing quotes that people feel the need to give you while I am sitting miles away, it is someone on your blog claiming I look like Elvis.
First, I do not have as much hair as that Elvis.
Second, I know I wear glasses, but I think my shades are a little more stylish than that.
Third, I don't own a jumpsuit.
Maybe you can monetize this. Instead of running my official fan club, you can start the official "Not A Fan Club". Maybe you could even cut me in on some of the membership dollars!

Do you really think this is all about you? Personally, I think it would be an improvement to see you in a jumpsuit, with shades and a set of lambchops, promoting the show at OPS. Then the world would see you for what you are in your mind, the king. Isn't it ironic that your feelings toward your former fans and drivers is much the same, it's all about you. The heck with the people who want to see or run pro stock type race cars. Tell us all why you have to continue to try and defend your actions and opinions on the subject. Denounsing other drivers and the series, races or tracks they choose to run. You alone are the driving force behind the on going late model/pro stock war. Why don't you just let it die. Admit you made a mistake and get over it. I believe your fan or as you put it, "not fan club", will follow suit, myself included. I attended your half tire car 250, with an open mind. Had a great time and didn't think the race was to bad, for the type of car and the class of drivers. Quite the opposite of what I said, to myself, when I heard that you had gotten rid of the pro stocks and changed the format of the 250, almost a year ago. I swore I wouldn't never set foot in your racetrack ever again. However, I gave your 250 the benefit of the doubt, this year, and attended anyway. However, lately after reading your comments, whether on this blog or your own. I have developed that attitude again. You never quit trying to make us all believe that you made the right choice getting rid of the prostocks and that your half tire 250 was just as good as the rest in years past. The only place it was as good was at the ticket booth. Your one and only concern, the all might dollar. It's too bad you wouldn't try as hard at scheduling a race at your racetrack, with pro stocks/super late models, as you do about defending your actions, about not having them anymore. You may just find out that you could make a few bucks and get some of the fans and drivers back at your racetrack, again including myself. I'm not saying every week. Just have a series or something. God for bid you'd let the PASS Tour have races at OPS. Let your guard down, do the right thing for the fans, as well as the drivers who have run up through the ranks of the lower classes, at your racetrack and choose to prefer the pro stock type cars. Give us all something we want to see, not just what you want for a change. Do your Wed. night deal, have your regular Sat. night show, and all the rest of the series that you can attract. Just turn the other cheek, let your guard down and get over it. Some of us just aren't into your racing format or your opinions on the fact that we choose to feel that way.

I've followed this situation for the last 2-3 months. I've read all of the press clippings, car counts at different tracks and series, attendance at different tracks and series, and read Bill Ryan's comments. I think you have a point about Bill Ryan letting it go, and according to his blog, he is going to.
But nowhere have I seen where his decision looks like a mistake. All evidence I have seen indicates that he made the correct decision and his track and the Oxford 250 are going be better in the long run.
I think you have some valid points but there is no mistake to admit to.

Um, it was about me. Someone, jokingly I hope, said I looked like the Elvis in the picture. So I came on here and made a couple of jokes. I also pointed out that Travis seems to find folks that have a personal axe to grind. Read his articles and you will find three instances of it in the last five weeks. I think that is funny too.
I have defended myself on occasion, just to set the record straight. If defending myself against comments made in Travis' articles or in other press outlets is considered "fueling the fire" I really do not know what to say.
I have let it go and will continue to turn the other cheek,even when people attack me. Like you are doing now. And the guy two comments before you.
I do have one question that I have asked a half dozen times before and no one has ever answered. That question is, show me where I have ever denounced a driver, series or race track? I am sorry if by asking you to back up your statements I am fueling the fire.
