MacDonald, whose BES ride fell apart in an amazing scandal (kind of like Christopher's Whelen Modified Tour team), has been competing here and there all season -- ACT, BES, weekly shows at Oxford. It's old school, and, when you run up front most of the time, it only adds to your street cred.

Congrats to Doug on getting 18 Pro Stocks again this week. Is there a complete order of finish to be found someplace? Did it hurt the Beech Ridge car count? I'd bet that some PASS teams raced there instead of traveling to Halifax. I guess 9 teams made that trip.
I found the complete rundown. Looks like Doug is pulling teams from "out of the woodwork". I dont think his 18 cars affected the Ridge car count or even the PASS/Halifax car count by much (maybe Penfold).

I didn't think 18 cars was a full field. Either Oxford's huge car counts for its top classes over the past 7-8 years has skewed what I consider a full field or we are lowering expectations.
I'd expect 25 cars for a top division. That's just me.

You're right to suggest that 18 cars isn't exactly top-shelf, but remember that it's a division that's been silent at Wiscasset for 3 full years. Given it's starting at that point in the season, too, when teams are traditionally running out of money, 18 cars two weeks in a row is a solid jumping-off point.

No Wiscasset had 18 in thier top class. But if you want to play that game and take two classes of cars from one speedway, add them up and compare them to Oxford's top class, they had 15 late models at Wiscasset. So that equals 33 cars in two classes and Oxford had 45. Yes it was an ACT race.
What I said above isnt a slam on anyone supporting Wiscasset, just the anonymous poster. I hope that what Doug is doing works and I hope to see a few races there this year! But please, if we are going to continue to have this PS/LMS discussion, can we at least just deal with facts?
So you think LMS and street stocks are a better deal than SLM and LMS? Not to mention Wiss has better and cheaper food along with a owner who cares.
