Kyle Petty's annual charity ride will begin in the Pine Tree State. Or, perhaps more fitting a ride across country during an off week for the Nextel Cup Series, we should say it will start in Vacationland.The Kyle Petty Charity ride, now in its 13th year, to benefit the Victory Junction Gang Camp for seriously ill children will start in Bar Harbor on July 14. For the first time, it will travel a North-South route covering 2,800 miles and end up in Hollywood, Fla., near Miami on July 20.
The ride features 250 NASCAR personalities and motorcyle enthusiasts.
