Sean Caisse, who drives for Andy Santerre Motorsports, will lead the 30-car BES grid to the green flag, with Joe Gibbs Racing development driver Marc Davis starting second. Part-time series competitor Eddie MacDonald starts third, with Joey Logano and Peyton Sellers rounding out the top-5.
Caisse toured the .625-mile high-banked oval in 20.382 seconds -- good for an average lap speed of 109.508 mph. He won the Bud Pole by just .002 seconds over Davis.
Ben Rowe of Turner won the first of 3 PASS North heats, with Steven Berry of Gorham and
Derek Ramstrom of West Boylston, Mass., taking heat wins, too. As they line up for the feature, Rowe owns a 28-point lead over Johnny Clark, who finished third in the final heat.
Noticeable among the PASS absentees is Cassius Clark. He was pre-entered for the event, but is not here despite being the defending race winner.
