Some teams still feel Oxford 250 chill

Car owner Jay Cushman still remembers it as if it happened yesterday.

In his mind, 10 years and nearly $1 million invested in trying to win the TD Banknorth 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway was washed away by track owner Bill Ryan on Aug. 14, 2006. That day, Ryan announced that the track would no longer have a Pro Stock division, and the crown jewel of its schedule would be handed over to the strictly regulated and less expensive Late Model class.

Nearly one full calendar year later, Ryan's decision continues igniting fiery debate and polarizing the state's racing community.

Great story and perspective from racers on the other side of the fence, many good points brought up and sure does make you wonder where this race is headed, Man I miss Don Beiderman Jr.Hanley Frank Fraser
