What a Tripp

I'm not sure, but I think a Strictly Stock driver just complained about heavy traffic.

After finishing 3rd in the 30-lap Strictly main at Oxford Plains on Saturday night, one that saw about 7 cars cross the start/finish line at the same time, Skip Tripp had a few words for everybody in his way.

"It would have been nice if lapped traffic hadn't messed that up, but whatever," Tripp said.

Uh, hey, this is Strictly Stock racing, not the Nextel Cup Series. Welcome to weekly competition, Skip.

Glen Henderson picked up his 3rd win of the year in the event, followed across the line by Tommy Tompkins in 2nd.

Earlier, Jim Childs won the 30-lap Mini Stock race.

Terry Labonte, who was not here for practice (following suit with the Nextel Cup drivers before him to come to the Oxford 250), did arrive at the track after the evening's racing started. He got acquainted with the Richard Moody Racing team he'll drive for, and then he was fitted in the seat in the car.
